SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

The Scientific Committee of the International Association of Arts and Cultural Management is responsible for determining the content of the conference. The 15 members of the Scientific Committee come from universities around the world and are actively involved in research in the field of arts and cultural management.

CO-CHAIRS OF THE SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

François Colbert

HEC Montréal, Montréal (Canada)

François Colbert, C.M., M.B.A., M.Sc., is Professor of Marketing at HEC Montréal, where he holds the Carmelle and Rémi Marcoux Chair in Arts Management and is responsible for the Master of Management in International Arts Management. He is Founding Editor of the International Journal of Arts Management. Professor Colbert has been actively involved in the arts and cultural field for over 50 years. He has served on the boards of directors of numerous cultural organizations, including the Canada Council for the Arts. He is the author of close to 200 publications on arts management-related issues. In 2002 he was awarded the Order of Canada for his many achievements and for his unique contributions in developing the field of arts management. In 2005 he was named Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and in 2012 he was appointed UNESCO Chair in Cultural Management.

Pierre-Jean Benghoz

Pierre-Jean Benghozi has an initial scientific education in engineering from the the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) and is graduated, additionally, in Management studies (PhD) and Economic (Priv.- Doz). He is Emeritus Research Director at the French National Centre for Scientific Resarch (CNRS) and professor at the École Polytechnique (Paris).

Pierre-Jean Benghozi developed, since the early eighties, pioneering research unit and programs on Information Technology, Telecommunications, Media and Culture. He headed up in Paris the Centre for Management and Economic Research (PREG). He also founded and has been in charge of the Innovation and Regulation in Digital Services Chair. He is former Commissioner at the French Electronic Communications and Postal Services Regulatory national Authority (ARCEP) and has been, more recently, in charge, for the French and European authorities, of the evaluation of French national Ultra BroadBand program.

Pierre-Jean Benghozi publishes on these topics more than 200 academic international publications. Board member of scientific committee in highest French institutions and numerous international scientific conferences and academic journals, he taught regularly in major Universities and is frequently requested as an expert by public bodies and private organizations.
